how do search engines work? ANSWER TO THE ABOVE QUESTION FIrst they index all the websites and their pages and meta tags. Then they store the data in a structured way and tag them in relavent ways to retrive it for search queires for search results. then have a good database query engine which retrives data on the fly. I guess they store most frequently used data in search engines cach as well.
