why there is separate budjet of Railways? On what date it is submitted in India?

ANSWER TO THE ABOVE QUESTION Railways is the biggest government run business. Seperate railway budget started even before independence in the year 1924 and the then britis government decided that Indian needed a seperate railway budgect since they decided to spend more than 1/3 of the overall budget on railways. It continued in the same fashion even after independence. Railway ministry is generally given the party in coalation which has the maximum weightage. Mamata Benerje held this position for some time. Dinesh Trivedi from her party TMC holds this position now
